Introduction & Background:
The 14th Middle East Corrosion Conference and Exhibition is planned for February 12-15,
2012, at the Gulf International Convention Center, Gulf Hotel in Manama, Kingdom of
Bahrain.
The West Asia & Africa Area and the Dhahran-Saudi Arabia Section of NACE International
along with the Bahrain Society of Engineers started this series of conferences in 1979. The
conference, since then, has been successful in providing an excellent knowledge sharing
platform for professionals in all areas of corrosion prevention and control in different industries
worldwide. This is reflected in the steady increase in the number of delegates attending the
event and in the number of technical papers presented over the years.
The contribution of major companies and organizations has always played an important role
in the success of this conference.
The conference's technical program will have plenary lectures by distinguished international
figures in the corrosion industry. The various disciplines of corrosion prevention and control
will also be covered in different sessions in the technical program. The exhibition running
parallel to the conference will demonstrate the latest developments in products, solutions
and services in the corrosion industry. The 13th Middle East Corrosion Conference and Exhibition showed progressive growth in
terms of registration, sponsorship, exhibitors and the presentation of high class technical
papers. More than 600 delegates registered during the conference, whereas 26 major companies
participated as sponsors and 55 companies as exhibitors. There were a total of 135 technical
papers presented, along with 3 Keynote Speeches. |
