CATHODIC PROTECTION

Session Leader: Mr.Abdulhameed  BuKhamsee, E-mail: abdulhameed.bukhamsin@aramco.com
This session will target topics related to internal and external cathodic protection. The session focus will be on new developments and advancements in protection technologies, monitoring techniques, equipment, design and installation techniques.

CHEMICAL TREATMENT

Session Leader: Mr. Jamal Al-Khamis, E-mail: jamal.khamis@aramco.com
This session will focus on the use of chemicals to control corrosion, scaling and fouling as well as equipment preservation. Papers may cover varying aspects, including development, research and applications in field locations.

CORROSION MANAGEMENT

Session Leader: Dr. Sami Al-Ghamdi, E-mail: sami.ghamdi.4@aramco.com
This session will look at how corrosion management systems, strategies, methods, and best practices impact the overall safety and reliability in operating facilities. This includes looking at integrity operating windows, risk management, inspection prioritization, root cause analysis, recommendations' tracking and economic performance.

CORROSION RESEARCH AND MODELING

Session Leader: Dr. Hameed Al-Badairy, E-mail: hameed.badairy@aramco.com
This session will focus on research topics that are related to corrosion mechanisms and corrosion control. In addition, corrosion modeling and simulation techniques that would eventually lead to solving field corrosion problems and offer better understanding of the corrosion process will be addressed in this session.

MATERIALS SELECTION, FAILURE ANALYSIS AND WELDING

Session Leader: Dr. Abdelmounam Sherik and Mr. Ehab El Saadawy,
E-maisl: abdelmounam.sherik@aramco.com
and ehab.elsaadawy@aramco.com
This session will address materials selection and performance in water, oil and gas applications, upstream and downstream. In addition, failure analysis cases together with corrosion prevention/mitigation measures shall be discussed. Welding fabrication/ repairs associated with material/component performance shall also be presented. Finally, experiences related to the testing and usage of advanced materials and new technologies shall also be shared.

NONMETALLIC MATERIALS

Session Leader: Mr. Vincenzo Savino, E-mail: savinovx@gmail.com
This session will cover topics related to current technologies and new developments in various nonmetallic materials, such as composite, thermoplastic and thermosetting and elastomeric materials.

PROTECTIVE COATINGS

Session Leader: Mr. Mana H. Al-Mansour, E-mail: mana.mansour.1@aramco.com
This session will focus on technical advances, field applications and critical issues related to industrial coatings. Other target topics include coating selection methodologies, material QA/QC, and inspection protocols.

WATER TREATMENT AND CHEMICAL CLEANING

Session Leader: Dr. Subhi Al-Jeshi, E-mail: subhi.jeshi@aramco.com
This session will deal with experiences with materials for use in both thermal and membrane based desalination plants. Other topics to be covered include control of corrosion and scaling and research on new materials, both metallic and nonmetallic, for use in desalination applications. The session will also cover topics on novel chemical/mechanical cleaning techniques, new inhibitors for existing cleaning procedures, and any other methods for mitigating corrosion during cleaning operations.

MICROBIALLY INDUCED CORROSION

Session Leader: Dr. Tony Rizk, E-mail: tony.rizk@aramco.com
The goal of this session is to discuss the latest developments in microbial induced corrosion including mechanisms, monitoring techniques and controlling strategies. This includes the effect of new bio-technologies on corrosion, investigation tools and methodologies, microbial characterization and chemical and biological treatments.

POSTER SESSION

Session Leader: Mr. Mansour Al-Zamil, E-mail: mansour.mansour.6@aramco.com
Professional and students (graduates and undergraduate) who are involved in research related to corrosion prevention and control (subjects that fit into any of the conference technical sessions) are encouraged to prepare and submit their research posters to the Conference Technical Committee
